Best thriller directors of all time - Number 3 - Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Jerome Tarantino was born on the 27th of March 1963 in Tennessee, USA. In the early 1990s, he began his career as an independent filmmaker with the release of Reservoir Dogs in 1992; regarded as a classic and cult hit, it was called the "Greatest Independent Film of All Time" by Empire magazine.

Below is a famous interview recently by Channel 4 and Tarantino, it shows how tired Tarantino is of people accusing him of influencing people with the violence in his movies:

Its popularity was boosted by the release of his second film, 1994's Pulp Fiction, a neo-noir crime film that became a major critical and commercial success, widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time.

Next came the two instalments of Kill Bill. (Two because the original full movie was over two hours long) Kill Bill Vol. 1 came out in late 2003 and Vol. 2 in early 2004.

His most recent and highest grossing work is 2012's critically acclaimed Django Unchained, a western film set in the antebellum era of the Deep South. It became the highest grossing film of his career so far, making over $425 million at the box office.

Tarantino has won 2 Oscars and another 87 various awards throughout his time as a director. He has been praised for his nonlinear storylines, satirical subject matter, and an aestheticization of violence.
