Best thriller directors of all time - Number 2 - Steven Spielberg



Steven Allen Spielberg was born on the 18th of December 1946 in Ohio, USA. He is considered as not only the most influential man in cinema but also the world. He is also considered as the best Director in the history of cinema, since his films address humanistic issues such as the Holocaust, the transatlantic slave trade, war, and terrorism. He is also one of the co-founders of DreamWorks movie studio. 

Many of his movies have been considered as the best of all time. For example it would be hard to meet someone who had not heard of: Saving Private Ryan (1998) And Schindler’s List (1993) of which he won an Academy Award for best director in both. 



Other famous movies include: Jaws (1975) E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) and Jurassic Park (1993) all of which achieved Box Office records for all becoming the highest grossing films of their times. The gross of all Spielberg’s directed movies exceed $8.5 billion. And Spielberg’s net worth is around $3.3 billion making him the highest paid director ever. He has come a long way from making his first movie at 16 with a budget of $500 and making a $1 dollar profit at his local theatre.
