Best thriller actors of all time? - Number 1 - Tom Hanks


Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on the 9th of July 1956 in California, USA. He is possibly the most famous actor of all time, let alone the most famous thriller actor. This is definitely proven by the amount of money all his films have grossed worldwide - $8.5 billion, and by how many awards he has been awarded and nominated for. He has won 2 Oscars, 2 Academy Awards, 4 Golden Globes, 5 Emmy’s and over 50 more various wins.

Hanks childhood was what he called “fractured” after his family divorced and he ended up living in many different places, and with different step-families. Had no previous acting experience until after college, he now has four children from two wives. He has gained a reputation for mostly playing very likeable, regular yet conflicted guys who end up being dragged into extraordinary situations.

  • He knows you’re Alone (1980) - A young bride-to-be is being stalked upon by a serial killer. She gets help from a former lover, but will they manage to escape? Hanks plays Elliot.
